  3. PLEASE read this before trying to convert Aminet.awnp to your language

  6. Catalog support has been added to Aminet.awnp since version 1.6
  7.  
  8. The method used by me is using a program found on Aminet called SimpleCat
  9.  
  10. SimpleCat is very easy to use as all args can be set in the .cs file
  11.  
  12. the 'Aminet.awnp.cs' file is the descriptor file for SimpleCat.
  13.  
  14. languages are defined on the first line seperated by commas ','
  15.  
  16. eg.
  17. ## languages english,français,español
  18.  
  19. then the Locale Strings are defined by line and seperated by ';'
  20. eg.

  26. _Si

  33. it is best to edit the catalogs in the original Awminet.awnp archive dir.
  34. I have included a little dos script that will run SimpleCat (SimpleCat
  35. MUST be in your path)
  36. then it will attempt to flush memory to unload any cached catalogs
  37. you may not have the command flushlibs so either remove the command or
  38. change it to some other library flusher.

  47. Please Please try to keep all texts to a similar length
  48. larger texts will affect the sizes of the gui/gadgets and requesters

  50. if possible use 'WELL KNOWN' Abreviations to try to make the gui smaller.

  52. Watch out for the '¶' character as it is used as a placemarker
  53. Watch out for _Underscores , ensure you don't repeat keykodes to gadgets
